The Group are on the Way!

I texted Ivan Bukuku - the Rungwe Group Co-ordinator - last night, to wish them 'Safari Njema' - good journey, and to say I'd see them at Manchester Airport on Sunday morning. I had 2 texts back:

'We are anxious to travel, to sing together'

'Tutaimba sana Mama! We have more than ten songs. We practiced. See you soon. Bupe and Gama slept at my home. Meresiana and Lilian are with Chotta, and Rooney and Aizeck are with Mahembe. Bye!!'

They are now travelling 500 miles on the bus to Dar es Salaam and fly on Saturday.

We can't wait to see you Ivan, and thank you to your lovely wife Agy and your twin boys Mark and Michael for letting you leave them for a month to lead this Youth Exchange.
