Whitehaven School Day

Our day began by meeting in the reception and then splitting up into small groups and going to different forms for registration with the year 7's.
We then did a P.E lesson of softball, the girls and boys were split and we separated into two different classes and went outside and played. It was freezing, and we felt the cold as bad as the Tanzanians this time!

For second lesson we went to food tech and watched the teacher make a rice salad, then after break, in third lesson the Tanzanians paired up with the English year 7 students and helped them make the rice salad themselves. They introduced us to eating uncooked rice which we didn't find too appetizing!

Fourth lesson we went back to PE and played dodge ball with a year 10 class, I think it was the first time all of us had played properly so was funny for us all trying to learn and everyone was very competitive!

We then all went to the canteen for our dinner, before finally going to a Geography lesson where we learnt about developed and developing countries and all the students had many questions for the Tanzanians. Then we went back to registration for 20 minutes where they showed us some presentations the English students had made to welcome the  Tanzanians.

They also got a present from the form which included a big box of malteasers, a raincoat
(typically), a British flag, Freddo frogs, a card, and I think that was it.
So all in all was a good day which I hope everyone enjoyed :-)
